Old Ethics is a distro list i have comprised of various old school hardcore, punk, thrash, metal, indie and other types of music from bands that used to play around the Upstate New York area. Alot of these bands came and went, only leaving behind a choppy demo tape/cd/vinyl and breaking up. alot of the demo's listed here have been collected from not just my own personal collection but from the collections of friends and old band members i used to go to shows with. alot of the material is dated mostly from 1997-2002, and ealier in the 90's and so forth. what i hope to accomplish is the knowledge that the 315 scene was something. before all th generic metal/hardcore and whinny indie rock bands, the scene here in Potsdam, Plattsburgh and elsewhere had something special. We as a community helped create what is now the music scene of todays 315. I want the new kids to take notice and respect what came before them. we all have/had the same goal. let's learn from our past and make a better future. I'm not discrediting the future scene and the bands of today like Rhetoric Of Disengagement. or the new kids and the shows we have now. But everything has a foundation in which it grows from. 

 

check through the list i have made, and mail me a specific 5 band/album list along with your return address and 3 dollars. i will burn you a copy of the bands material you request on a quality disc along with an old ethics designer sleeve and band info and track listing all in a clear plastic sleeve. please do your best to support the 315. i'm not trying to make money. i just simply feel strongly in the bands presented in the distro list and would like to keep them alive and well in the minds of new hc kids who now maintain this scene from Oswego, to Albany, Plattsburgh, Potsdam and everywhere else. we can all learn from each other and build a strong scene in the memory of those who came before us. don't forget. never forget. never surrender.
